Additionally, we hope that we will expand our community outreach and impact, making a positive difference in the lives of those around us. Our goal is to launch 3 more campuses in the San Diego area in the next 2-3 years.
Why did you choose to do a residency & what are you hopeful will happen through this process?
Our church chose to start a residency program in order to provide practical training and mentorship for future leaders in ministry. We are hopeful that through this process, we will be able to equip and empower emerging leaders to effectively serve and lead within the church and the community. The residency program will also provide an opportunity for these future leaders to gain valuable experience and guidance as they discern their calling and develop their skills for ministry.

Who will the resident report to? Will there be a different person acting as coach? What do you know about their personalities (enneagram, DiSC, Strength Finders, etc.) Have you given thought as to what type of personality will work best with them?
The residents will report to their ministry leader and coach and will also have a supervisor. We use all of the personality assessment tools listed above to best determine a coach for the resident. We take into consideration the various personality types that will work best with them and will ensure that the assigned coach and supervisor are well-equipped to support their individual needs.

As stated above, we use all of the personality assessment tools to make sure the candidate would make a good fit on our team. We also use the APEST assessment to determine the candidates individual giftings.
