Don’t just take our word for it...

Leadership Pathway has helped prepare me for full-time ministry in the best way. I don’t think there’s ever been a moment where it felt impossible. Going through the different key competencies each month has been so eye-opening and has helped my mentor and me create an honest relationship, where when anything does get difficult, I know there’s someone right there to help me through the rough stuff.

I was in my final year and a half of college, knowing I really didn’t want to change majors to add more school to my plate. Instead, I completed my degree and took steps toward volunteering and interning before deciding on Leadership Pathway’s Residency at StoneBridge.

I’ve spent most of my professional life in leadership positions and even before that as the oldest sibling, as well as a leader on sports teams and in the community. My background in volunteering and leadership, prior to residency, included many volunteer projects while growing up, 10+ years serving in youth ministry, owning and running a painting business in my early twenties, being a corporate manager for Casey’s General Stores and an account sales manager for Red Bull. For those contemplating starting residency at your churches, I’d recommend doing it. Be sure to have a plan and clear expectations for those participating and those leading. It can make all the difference!

I chose Leadership Pathway to help me on this journey, because it was the only organization I knew that helps people start in ministry with a residency; plus, I was ready to be finished with college and take my next step.
