Their greatest desire amid this growth opportunity is to ensure that they promote a gospel-centered leadership community on the staff, ensuring that ego and pride don’t get in the way of the work God is doing in and amongst the Quad City area.

The following is some Q and A with their staff:

Why did you choose to do a residency & what are you hopeful will happen through this process?
We understand the experience gap that many face coming out of college. We feel that QuadCity is the ideal environment to get deep, authentic, hands-on ministry experience with the goal of eliminating ministry burnout by promoting healthy culture.

What is it like to work on staff there?

We are a team that puts in work for the kingdom but genuinely enjoys doing so together. We promote gospel virtues like authenticity and humility, as we believe these are some of the top behaviors of gospel centered leaders. We challenge each other to grow in the areas that are most important to God.

What are your greatest hopes and dreams for the next couple of years for your church?
We want to help people look, live, and love like Jesus. We want lives to be redeemed by Jesus, for relationships with God to be restored into an ongoing and growing walk with Him, and for a renewed purpose in every individual for community and kingdom impact.

We want to grow in our ability to disciple all ages with environments including, but not limited to, worship, small groups, local outreach, personal evangelism, and serving opportunities both inside and outside our campus.

Does your church’s website state the mission, vision, values and key distinctives of your church?
Mission & Vision

Core Values

If you’re not into “doing the hard things” - you’re going to have a bad time as a Resident at QuadCity.

What qualities does it take to “win” on staff at your church?
Humility (teachability), authenticity, drive, emotional intelligence, and a motivation to make disciples and grow the kingdom of God.

Who will the resident report to?  Will there be a different person acting as coach?
The Executive Pastor will oversee the success of the residency program. The resident will report directly to the director of their area of emphasis (kids, students, adult min. worship, etc.)

Are there particular assessment tools that you prefer when exploring potential staff people?
We are always interested in Thinking Wavelength, Myers Briggs, and Enneagram.

Are you affiliated with a particular denomination or tribes/association of churches? If so, what websites could one investigate to gain further understanding?
No. QuadCity is a Nondenominational Christian Church born from the Restoration Movement over 100 years ago.

What are the key doctrinal and theological issues where alignment is essential?
Beliefs - We consider salvation theology to be essential. Topics like depravity, the identity of Jesus, and the origin of salvation. Though we don’t require total alignment on the rest of our stated beliefs, we do require recognition that these are the beliefs that QuadCity (any any representative of it) will teach publically.

What is your average weekend attendance?|
About 1,500 across two campuses. Prescott Valley is in its earliest stages, so we anticipate growth on that campus to continue.

In general, what is your church demographic?
QuadCity is a multi-generational, multi-ethnic ecclesia that represents all aspects of our community, though we consider ourselves to connect most effectively with young (35-40 y/o) middle class families in our area.

Is there more than one site or venue? If so, please describe.
Prescott Valley launched on 1/14 to volunteers and local families (over 400 in attendance on average), and will make its public “Grand Opening” on 2/20. We host services out of a performing arts center at a middle School near downtown PV. We are also in the process of acquiring 8+ acres of land right across the street from the school to develop a permanent venue.

How many conversions has your church had in the past 12 months? (however you define this and whatever you count)
We have seen about 100 baptisms in the past year or so. In addition, we have seen hundreds deepen their commitment through one of our discipleship pathways.

What percentage of people are involved in a small group?
We have about 50% connected through Lifegroups, Men’s groups, and Women’s connections groups, which are all a part of our discipleship pathway.

What is your church known for in the community?
We teach the bible. Time and time again we hear encouragement and conviction about our dedication and reliance to the Word of God. When we say “We teach the bible” what we mean is that we don’t just pontificate on biblical themes, rather we tackle large chunks of biblical text, contextualizing them into our modern existence, and driving application (life change) out of them. More often than not you’ll find us teaching 10+ week long series (exegetically) through full books of the Bible.

How much are you planning on financially compensating your resident?  Is it set or is it flexible?
We plan on compensating about $1,350/Month plus housing There is a small margin for flexibility if need be.

What are the expected work hours and what does a typical work week look like for this resident?
As a team, we put in 40+ hours per week. Generally, our team works Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm, and Sundays from 6:00am - 2:00pm, but our residents should expect to be pulled into learning opportunities outside of business hours as often as they arise.

What else would you say to a resident considering joining your team?
We genuinely care about developing and equipping the next generation of Ministry leaders. The deployment of the gospel is never more than two generations away from extinction in any particular area, and we have a sense of urgency around empowering leaders to GO!
