Zack Dalton: My Leadership Pathway

My leadership journey began in the most random way.

While standing in the tech booth of my church, I was singing and messing around. Our worship leader heard me and invited me to sing one weekend. And just like that, I knew that ministry was what I wanted to do.

Currently, I serve as a Worship Resident at the Lexington, KY campus of Crossroads Church (Cincinnati, OH). From the beginning, residency has been a challenge, but in the absolute best way that is making me grow and get better! I have known for a long time that God called me to be a worship leader, and now I am in a position to do everything I can to make that a reality.

This has been life-changing for me! I’m in an environment where I am being equipped to become a great leader and teammate.

If you’re thinking about becoming a resident, I’d recommend being open to conversations and be flexible to new possibilities. I believe it’s worth it in the end!

And if you’re on staff at a church, invite someone to sing with you on a weekend or lead a game in youth group. You just might be developing the next you in ministry.

I’m Zack Dalton, and this is my leadership pathway.
